Privacy policy

Updated October 6, 2026

This policy explains how Developing Today LLC handles information on this website and in direct business communications. It also describes the infrastructure we use to operate our services.

When you browse this website

Our homepage, case study, procurement information, county overview, capability brief, careers, contact information, test results, and privacy policy are public information pages. You do not need an account. The contact page offers an office-hours chat; these pages do not collect payment information. Their code includes no advertising pixels or visitor analytics. Self-hosted Sentry receives diagnostic reports when the website or chat encounters an error. Fonts and portfolio images are served from this website.

Hosting and network services process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and security events. We use this information to operate the site, investigate problems, and prevent abuse.

When you contact us

We receive the information you choose to share by email or phone, including your name, contact details, organization, project requirements, and any documents you send. We use it to respond, prepare proposals, provide support, and manage our business relationship. Email links on this site open your email application; copying an email address does not send us a message.

Website messages

You can start a chat without giving your name or email. Cloudflare stores the conversation and, when enabled, its Workers AI service processes recent chat messages to draft replies from our published information and identify questions that need a person. If Cloudflare is unavailable or reaches our usage limit, a configured fallback through our own Open WebUI service may process those recent messages instead. The assistant is labeled as AI. It cannot access client systems or make commitments on our behalf.

When you ask for our team, or the assistant determines that your question needs a person, we send the recent conversation to Microsoft Teams. Staff replies in that visitor thread appear on the website. You can include contact details if you want us to follow up after you leave. Please do not share sensitive information in this chat.

You can also share pictures with our team. The website resizes pictures before sending them and stores them with your conversation. Pictures are not sent to the AI assistant. Teams receives a temporary image link that expires with the website session. Inline pictures sent by staff are copied into the same conversation so you can view them here.

Chat uses your browser's session storage, not cookies, to keep the conversation connected when you reload this tab. It stores a random access token, not your messages or contact details. Ending the chat or closing the tab clears that token. If browser storage is unavailable, chat works until you reload or leave the page. No Microsoft account is needed. Website sessions expire after 24 hours, and expired records are removed during subsequent chat activity. Ending a chat closes it but does not immediately erase the record. Copies in Teams follow our Microsoft 365 retention settings. We temporarily count requests using a hashed network address to limit abuse. Contact us to ask about a message or request deletion.

Career inquiries

If you contact us about an opportunity, we receive the introduction, contact details, résumé, portfolio links, and other information you choose to send. We use that information to discuss your experience and potential opportunities with you. These messages are handled through our business email and follow the email retention practices described below.

Hosting, email, and error monitoring

These services process information involved in hosting, protecting, and supporting our operations. Our Sentry installation is hosted by us. Website and chat error reports help us investigate failed messages, connection problems, and other technical failures.

Cookies and third-party resources

The optional Scalar API explorers use local browser storage to remember your code-language preference. They load local assets and have telemetry and credential persistence disabled.

The public information pages do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use cookies to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic and remember security checks. See Cloudflare's cookie documentation for details. Your browser lets you manage or delete cookies; blocking security cookies may affect access.

Older map demos and the ArcGIS proposal page load resources from third-party providers, including Esri and public font and code delivery networks. Those requests share connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, with the provider. Links to client websites and separate products take you to services with their own privacy practices.

How long we keep information

We currently have no fixed deletion schedule for business or inquiry emails. Messages and attachments may be retained indefinitely in Office 365 unless deleted. We keep correspondence to support ongoing work and maintain a record of our business relationships.

Retention of hosting logs, security events, error reports, and client records depends on the service configuration and applicable contract or legal requirements. Contact us for information about a particular record or service, or to request deletion.

Client systems and records

Software we build for a client may be operated by that client or hosted under a separate agreement. The client's contract and privacy notice govern that system's records, access, retention, and handling. Our business email retention practice does not set the retention policy for client application data.

Privacy questions and requests

To ask about information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected] or call 605-610-2992. Identify the service and records involved so we can route your request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information. Contractual duties and applicable law may require us to retain some records.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change and show the revision date above. Contact Developing Today LLC using the details above if you have questions about an update.
